Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 September 2026

This page is maintained by Bookpint to set out the rules for using the platform. Please read it carefully, by creating an account or making a booking, you accept these Terms.

1. About Bookpint

Bookpint ("Bookpint", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace (the "Platform") that connects customers ("Customers") with independent beauty, grooming and wellness providers ("Businesses") primarily in Ghana. The Platform is provided through the website at bookpint.app and any related domains, apps and tools.

Bookpint is a technology provider. We are not the provider of the underlying beauty, grooming, wellness or other services listed on the Platform. Each Business is solely responsible for the services it offers, its pricing, its staff, its facilities and its compliance with applicable laws.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create a Bookpint account. Minors may use the Platform only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when you register, and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. How bookings work

When you submit a booking through Bookpint you are sending a request to the relevant Business. The contract for the underlying service is formed directly between you and the Business once they accept the booking. Bookpint is not a party to that contract.

Each Business sets its own services, prices, staff allocation, opening hours, advance-booking window and cancellation policy. These details are shown on the Business's page at the time of booking and apply to your appointment.

We send a confirmation code and reminder messages where possible, but it is the Business's responsibility to confirm, perform, reschedule or cancel the appointment.

4. Prices, deposits & payments

All prices on the Platform are displayed in Ghana Cedis (GHS, ₵) unless clearly stated otherwise, and are set by the Business. Prices may change at any time before a booking is confirmed.

Where a Business requires a deposit, payment is processed through our payment provider Paystack. By making a payment you also agree to Paystack's terms. We do not store full card numbers; we receive and retain only the limited payment metadata needed to identify and reconcile transactions (for example, a reference, the last four digits of the card, and the transaction status).

Taxes, surcharges or additional service fees, where applicable, are the responsibility of the Business and will be shown at the time of booking or on the Business's page.

5. Cancellations, no-shows & refunds

Cancellation and no-show rules are set by each Business and shown before you confirm a booking. Bookpint provides cancellation links and a confirmation code so you can manage your own bookings from the My Bookings area.

Refunds for deposits, services or rescheduling are decided by the Business in line with its stated policy. Where a payment was made through the Platform, the Business may issue a refund through the same payment provider; processing times depend on Paystack and your bank.

If you believe a Business has breached its own published policy, contact the Business first. If the issue is not resolved you may contact us at bookpint26@gmail.com and we will review the matter in good faith, but Bookpint does not guarantee any particular outcome.

6. Reviews & user content

You can leave a review only after a confirmed or completed booking with the relevant Business. Reviews must be honest, based on personal experience, and must not contain unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or sexually explicit content.

By posting content on Bookpint (reviews, photos, business descriptions, replies, profile details) you grant Bookpint a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting Bookpint. You keep ownership of your content.

We may remove or hide content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, is fraudulent, or is the subject of a credible legal complaint.

7. Business owner terms

If you list a Business on Bookpint, you also agree to the following:

  • You have the right to operate the Business and offer the listed services, and you hold any licences, registrations and insurance required by Ghanaian law.
  • Your listing (name, photos, services, prices, hours, staff, location) is accurate and you keep it up to date. You are responsible for the conduct of any staff you add to the Platform.
  • You honour confirmed bookings, perform services with reasonable skill and care, and apply your stated cancellation, deposit and refund policy fairly.
  • You only upload photos and content that you own or have permission to use, and you do not infringe the rights of any third party.
  • You comply with all applicable health, safety, tax, consumer-protection and anti-discrimination laws.

8. Subscriptions & verification

Businesses may use Bookpint on a free plan or a paid subscription. New businesses receive a trial period as displayed at sign-up. Paid plans renew automatically through Paystack until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period unless required by law.

The violetVerified badge is awarded after review by Bookpint and, where applicable, payment of the verification fee shown on the verification page. Verification confirms that a Business met our published eligibility checks at the time it was approved. It is not an endorsement of the quality of any particular service and may be revoked if the eligibility criteria are no longer met.

9. Acceptable use

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful purpose;
  • offer or solicit illegal services, sexual services, services that endanger health, or services that breach Ghanaian law;
  • harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against any other user;
  • scrape, crawl, copy, reverse-engineer or otherwise extract data from the Platform except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law;
  • interfere with, probe, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, related systems, accounts or data;
  • upload viruses, malware or content that violates intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • circumvent the Platform's booking, payment or commission flow by directing transactions off-platform for bookings discovered through Bookpint.

10. Intellectual property

The Bookpint name, logo, brand, software, design and content (excluding user content) are owned by Bookpint or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.

11. Third-party services

The Platform relies on third-party providers to function. These include, without limitation, payment processing (Paystack), cloud infrastructure and authentication, email delivery providers, and analytics. Your use of those providers' services through the Platform is also subject to their own terms and privacy notices. Bookpint is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third-party providers.

12. Suspension & termination

You can stop using Bookpint at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing bookpint26@gmail.com.

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Platform, including hiding or deleting a listing, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created risk for other users, damaged the Platform's integrity, or where required by law. Where practical we will let you know the reason and give you a chance to fix the issue.

13. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookpint disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every possible attack, or that any specific Business will accept, perform or refund a booking.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookpint, its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Platform in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Bookpint for use of the Platform during that period and (b) GHS 200.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold Bookpint harmless from any third-party claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (i) your use of the Platform, (ii) your breach of these Terms, (iii) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (iv) for Businesses, the services you provide to Customers.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ghana, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.

Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us at bookpint26@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally first.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify active users (for example by email or by an in-app notice). Continued use of the Platform after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. SMS, OTP & communications

By creating an account or making a booking you agree to receive service messages from Bookpint by SMS, email and in-app notification. These include one-time passcodes (OTP) used to verify your phone number, booking confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, payment receipts and important account or security notices. Service messages are not marketing and cannot be switched off while you hold an active account or booking.

One-time passcodes are personal. Never share a Bookpint OTP with anyone, including someone claiming to be Bookpint staff or a Business. We will never ask you for your passcode, password or full card details. Codes expire after a short period and are limited to a small number of attempts.

Marketing or promotional messages are optional. You may opt out at any time by replying with the stop keyword shown in the message, by changing your notification settings, or by emailing us. Standard network charges from your mobile operator may apply to messages you send. SMS delivery depends on third-party networks and cannot be guaranteed, so you should also check your bookings in the app.

You confirm that any phone number you add belongs to you or that you are authorised to receive messages at it, and that you will remove or update it promptly if that stops being true.

18. Business payouts & platform fees

Where a Customer pays a deposit or other amount through the Platform, the funds are collected by our payment partner and held to the account of the relevant Business, less any applicable Bookpint commission, payment-processing charges and taxes. The net amount is shown to the Business in its dashboard as an available balance.

Businesses may request a payout of their available balance from the dashboard. Payouts are made to the Mobile Money or bank details supplied by the Business, which the Business is responsible for keeping accurate. We may hold, delay or reverse a payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, chargebacks, duplicate or disputed transactions, unresolved Customer complaints, or a breach of these Terms, or where we are required to do so by law or by our payment partner.

Commission rates, processing charges and payout timelines are shown in the dashboard and may change on reasonable notice. Businesses are solely responsible for their own tax obligations, including any VAT, levies or income tax arising from services they provide, and for issuing receipts where required.

Amounts collected in error, refunded to a Customer, or lost to a payment reversal may be deducted from a Business's future balance or invoiced to the Business.

19. Advertising & promoted placements

Businesses may purchase promoted placements, featured slots and other advertising on the Platform. Advertising is clearly identified where required and does not affect the honesty of reviews or ratings. Ad pricing, duration and placement capacity are shown at the point of purchase.

Advertisers are responsible for their creatives and must hold all necessary rights to the images, video and text they upload. We may reject, pause or remove any advertisement that is misleading, unlawful, offensive, infringes third-party rights, or does not meet our quality standards, without refund where the breach is the advertiser's fault.

Impressions and clicks reported in the dashboard are estimates measured by our own systems and are provided for guidance. We do not guarantee any particular level of exposure, enquiries or bookings from an advertisement or subscription plan.

20. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for a failure or delay in performing its obligations (other than an obligation to pay money already due) caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including power or internet outages, network or payment-provider failures, cyber-attacks, fire, flood, epidemic, industrial action, civil unrest, or acts of government. Bookings affected by such events should be rearranged directly between the Customer and the Business.

21. General provisions

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any plan or purchase terms shown at checkout, form the whole agreement between you and Bookpint.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in force and the provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • No waiver. A delay or failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights, for example as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the business, provided your rights are not materially reduced.
  • Notices. We may give notice by email, SMS or an in-app message to the details on your account. You may give notice to us at the email address in section 22.
  • No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, agency or franchise relationship between Bookpint and any Customer or Business.
  • Language. These Terms are written in English, which governs their interpretation.
